Tour de France: Warren Barguil out with Covid-19

Covid-19 keeps making victims in the Tour de France peloton as Arkéa Samsic's Warren Barguil abandoned the race this morning after a set of strong performances.

The French rider crashed yesterday on the descent of the Col de la Croix de Fer alongside teammate Maxime Bouet, however both were able to finish the race. Barguil had a lot of road rash on the right side of his body, however that was not the reason that drove him out of the race.

The team reported that all other tests were negative, however it casts a blow on the ambitions of the French team to take a stage win in the race. Barguil would also be crucial support for Nairo Quintana who currently sits sixth in the overall classification.
