For the first time in his career, Tom Pidcock has one the general classification of professional bike race. The Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team star kept himself out of trouble as teammate Matteo Moschetti sprinted to victory on the final stage in Saudi Arabia, to secure his overall win.
After echelons had formed to give some of the GC riders some early concerns, a four man breakaway got themselves clear of the peloton once things calmed down. Best placed on GC, was Diego Uriarte of Equipo Kern Pharma at 1:50 down on Tom Pidcock.
At 26km to go, the attackers were caught and the GC fight really started to light up. With echelons splitting the peloton, notable names such as Team Jayco AlUla duo Alan Hatherly and Eddie Dunbar, plus 2nd on GC Rainer Kepplinger were all caught out. As the final rise began at 5km to go, they were still over 25 seconds down on the lead group that included race leader Pidcock. On the climb, the gap only grew further too, putting all firmly out of GC contention. In the fight for the stage win, Pidcock's teammate, Matteo Moschetti powered to victory ahead of Dylan Groenewegen and Juan Sebastian Molano.

What a highly successful start for the Q36.5 team. It's looking like they have great chemistry on the squad, and that this was just the change that Tom Pidcock needed to get things back on track.
