Tom Crabbe’s name has become one of the hottest items on the transfer market after his breakout this season. The 20-year-old Belgian sprinter has opened the year in style with Team Flanders - Baloise, already racking up five high-profils victories that have sent his market value soaring.
His rise has not gone unnoticed, and several teams have started moving to secure his services for the future. According to Belgian outlet Het Laatste Nieuws, one of the most interested is the Tudor Pro Cycling Team, the project led by Fabian Cancellara, which is said to be working quietly to persuade the sprinter.
The chase for Crabbe is not limited to a single squad. The same report indicates the rider is also in contact with several other teams; Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team and Soudal - Quick-Step to name a few.
In parallel, Tudor’s interest goes beyond Crabbe. The Swiss outfit is also reportedly well advanced in talks to sign Arnaud De Lie, whose current contract at Lotto-Intermarché is nearing its end, and a renewal, even though an option, doesn't seem very likely.

Pinarello Q36.5 moves to the front

Despite the on-going talks with Tudor, based on current information, it is Pinarello Q36.5’s project which holds the edge in the race to sign Crabbe. Although talks remain open with several teams, all signs point to this Swiss structure having taken the lead in negotiations.

Tom Crabbe started the 2026 season with a stage win at the Etoile de Besseges, edging out revelation of last season Lukas Kubis in an uphill sprint. Continuing his wining streak, Crabbe surpassed Soren Waerenskjold to win a stage at Vuelta a Andalucía. Finally, the latest exploit of the former European junior champion in madison have been his three stage wins at the Tour of Turkey.
And so, while Crabbe’s future is unresolved at the moment, his case shows how a standout season can transform a young rider’s status. With multiple top-tier teams in the mix and negotiations underway, his next destination will be one of the transfer stories to watch develop in the coming weeks.
