Bruno Armirail crashed on stage 3 of the Tour de France
Team Visma | Lease a Bike didn't have the best day at the Tour de France on Monday. Not only did Jonas Vingegaard lose his yellow jersey, but crucial teammate Bruno Armirail suffered a crash during stage 3 that took him out of the finish.
The French rouleur, crucial to Vingegaard and the Dutch team's general classification ambitions at La Grand Boucle, fell during a corner as the pelton screamed through one of the many towns and villages. He did get back on his bike soon after and finish the stage.
Posting to Instagram, Armirail cynically reacted to the crash as he seemingly criticised a rider for pushing his way into the French rider's path.
He posted a clip taken from roadside of the crash, which appears to show him being overtaken on the inside of a corner and then crashing, with his fall also taking down several riders as a result, including Thymen Arensman.
He wrote: “If there is actually no room to pass, but that guy gives you a hard shove to make room for himself and slip past… 👍👌 Thanks!”

No update on Armirail as Pogacar takes yellow jersey

The Dutch team have not provided any update on his condition or shared any concerns about his condition ahead of Tuesday's stage 4.
Meanwhile, further up the road, Pogacar powered to victory ahead of Vingegaard. Although second and losing a handful of seconds to the Slovenian, teammate Sepp Kuss doesn't see it as much of a loss for the team for one reason.
Speaking to TV 2 Sport after the stage, Kuss said Vingegaard’s result had to be judged against the nature of the finish. “It is not so bad,” said Kuss. “To finish second on the stage is already pretty good, because Pogacar is close to impossible to beat on a finish like this.”
