Stybar and Ballerini leads Quick-Step's mission to win hilly Druivenkoers - Overijse

The Belgian domestic calendar is an ideal fit for Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team, who present themselves at the Druivenkoers - Overijse classic with a team packed with classics riders and the ambition to the the win.

Zdenek Stybar, who's been showing great form recently, will be the main weapon. In the hills where a lot of the 2021 World championships - where he finished seventh - was decided, the Czech will have ideal terrain. The team has puncheur Andrea Bagioli as another option for aggressive racing, whilst Davide Ballerini sits in as an option if the race is packed together towards the end and a sprint is to decide the race.

“Druivenkoers Overijse is not an easy race, but we are motivated. We have a good team with several cards to play, including Davide, who won a stage in Wallonie recently, and Zdenek, whose good form was underlined by his strong outings in Leuven or Denmark," team DS Brian Holm said. "We’ll see how things go during the race, but we will try to be in the thick of the action and get a good result at the end of the day". Stybar's compatrior Martin Svrcek will be getting experience fro the classic, whilst the team will also have Josef Cerny, Iljo Keisse and Stijn Steels to support the high ambitions into the race.
