Sepp Kuss leads the charge for Visma at the Volta a Catalunya in an attempt to rival Tadej Pogacar

Team Visma | Lease a Bike have made history by winning both Paris-Nice and Tirreno-Adriatico in the same season. They could do further history at the Volta a Catalunya but have to face a very strong UAE Team Emirates. Sepp Kuss however will be on the charge for the title.

Close to his home in Andorra, Kuss will be motivated to perform in Catalunya and in the three summit finishes, he will have good chances of being among the best. With no time-trial, the differences will be made uphill; and the Dutch team comes in with several cards to play. Cian Uijtdebroeks the most meaningful, searching for more strong results ahead of his Giro d'Italia debut.

The team features also Attila Valter who will look to show more strong performances after Gran Camiño and Tirreno-Adriatico where he supported Jonas Vingegaard. Tour Down Under breakthrough Bart Lemmen, Steven Kruijswijk, Robert Gesink and Loe van Belle conclude the lineup.

"We will be satisfied if one of our riders finishes on the podium. Cian is in good shape after finishing seventh at the Tirenno-Adriatico. The upcoming race will be another good test for the Giro d'Italia, where he will be one of our eye-catchers," team DS Marc Reef said of Uijtdebroeks.
