UAE Team Emirates have confirmed their lineup for the Volta a Catalunya and it is headlined by none other than Tadej Pogacar. The UAE Team Emirates rider has with him a very strong team fully of climbers.
The Slovenian is the absolute favourite to win the overall classification. Even with a modest lineup, he would still be the man to beat in the seven-day race which features three mountainous summit finishes and a few more hilly stages. Pogacar makes his debut and with him is a team fully made up of climbers, several of which have the chance to also be up there in the fight for the GC.
João Almeida and Jay Vine come off Paris-Nice and could at their best be fighting for the podium; as is Marc Soler and Pavel Sivakov on paper - although the Frenchman has had problems with injuries earlier in the year. Felix Grossschartner and Domen Novak conclude what is an incredibly strong lineup which is expected to overwhelm the capacity of rival teams.
