Men junior

Roberto Capello looked to be on his way to conquer the men's junior title but a late surge from Germany's Karl Herzog saw him steal the European title in the final kilometers of the race. The two looked head and shoulders above the competition, with David Gaffney of Ireland completing the podium however finishing 43 seconds behind.
