"Tadej showed again just how good he is" - Isaac del Toro looks to bounce back from Worlds' explosion to win Giro dell'Emilia

However, several others could still come and Isaac del Toro wants to contribute to that, and at the Giro dell'Emilia he will have the opportunity to lead the team and is regarded as one of the big favourites together with Primoz Roglic and Tom Pidcock.

This will come six days after his World Championships race in Kigali, where he put a stellar performance until he cracked with 67 kilometers to go after having collaborated with Tadej Pogacar to put time into the rest of the competition."The experience at the World Championships was one I’ll never forget. Now in Italy, he will be the team leader at both Giro dell'Emilia and Coppa Agostoni this weekend. “I’m excited to be back racing in Italy now, and the Giro Dell’Emilia could be a nice race for us. We are the defending champions there after Tadej’s win last year, so we will try to defend that title. I’m looking forward to this last block of racing to finish off what has been a special season.”

The 21-year old will also race Tre Valli Varesine and Gran Piemonte, and Il Lombardia is definitely in the cards as despite having a long season and young age, he continues to display tremendous form that reminds many of his Slovenian teammate. At the time being he already has 13 wins this season, one which he started as only one card for UAE, something that changed completely after the Giro d'Italia where he came close to winning it, losing the pink jersey to Simon Yates only on the final competitive stage.
