Jai Hindley has opted to secure his future with Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe. Just days after the start of the Tour de France, the Australian has signed a long-term renewal with the German team, cementing himself as a cornerstone of their Grand Tour project. Visma made a move in the market, but couldn’t sway him.
The partnership started on a high. In his first season with the squad, Hindley won the overall and pink jersey at the Giro d’Italia 2022, a landmark victory as the rider and team’s first ever Grand Tour win.
Since then, the Australian has maintained a strong record over three weeks. At the Tour de France 2023 he took a stage win and wore yellow for a day, while at the Vuelta a España 2025 he finished just 30 seconds off the podium. This season he returned to the Giro d’Italia and underlined his consistency with third overall.
At 30, Hindley has become a key pillar of Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe’s Grand Tour unit, thanks to his results as well as his experience and leadership within the group.
“Jai has been one of the best Grand Tour riders in the world for many years. What makes him so valuable to us goes beyond results: he’s an important role model for the whole team, especially the next generation of Grand Tour riders.

Hindley’s renewal a "big statement"

"His decision to commit his future to our team is a big statement,” said Zak Dempster, Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe’s Head of Sport.
Hindley’s extension strengthens the team’s commitment to continuity and a solid structure to tackle the biggest targets across three-week races. The Australian will remain central to the German squad’s ambitions.
He will also serve as a mentor for young the team's emerging talents such as Giulio Pellizzari and Luke Tuckwell, who have already demonstrated their strong general classification abilities this season.
“I’m very happy and grateful to extend my contract and continue my journey with Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe,” Hindley said after the deal was announced, confirming he and the team's long-term vision align.
"I love working with everyone on the team and it feels like a second family. I have big personal ambitions, as does the team, and I believe this is the right environment to keep growing and progressing. Thanks to the entire team for the continued trust."
