Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe set to lose one of its key domestiques, who might boost Tudor's classics block

A lot of moves are to be expected over the coming weeks in cycling's transfer market. One of them is rather surprising, as Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe is, according to journalist Daniel Benson, set to lose one of its key domestiques Nico Denz, who has had an incredibly successful four years in the German team.
Denz, 32, has turned pro with the currently named Decathlon CMA CGM Team back in 2016 and within a few years began showing his talent. The German rider has a specialty that does not often allow him to fight for victories, but he has stood out as one of the best in his field.
Denz has stood out as an incredibly versatile rider, winning a mountain stage at the Tour de Suisse back in 2022 still with Team DSM at the time, before linking up with Red Bull. A German team and rider, it was a match made in heaven, and he found his role as a road captain for leaders such as Primoz Roglic, Jai Hindley, Florian Lipowitz and Remco Evenepoel; whilst thriving when given the opportunity.
In 2023, Denz won two stages almost consecutively in the same scenario at the Giro d'Italia, taking part in the breakaway of the day and then outsprinting a small group of rivals. Despite being a rouleur, he has both sprint (at the Tour of Turkey) and mountaintop victories in his palmarès.

Denz to Tudor?
In four years, Denz has started eight Grand Tours with Red Bull, proving to be a rider perfectly fit for the challenges of a Grand Tour. A solo win at the 2025 Giro d'Italia proved he was still amongst the best rouleurs in the world, whilst he has spent large kilometers working for his climbers and also sprinter teammates.
However, Denz is moving on from Red Bull, according to Benson. His destination appears to be Tudor Pro Cycling Team, a squad that has built itself a strong reputation for the spring classics.
Arnaud de Lie expected to have a premium domestique
Tudor is making big moves in the market. If Denz joins, he will be linking up with Arnaud de Lie as a new signing whilst Kaden Groves is also expected to join the team - to be announced soon.
The team has over the past few years increased its budget significantly, having Julian Alaphilippe and March Hirschi as their star signings into 2025. This past winter, they have signed Stefan Küng whilst Marco Brenner has stepped up as a quality climber, assuring them possibilities to perform strongly at both the cobbled and Ardennes classics.

According to the listing here (which no-one so far has called out for being wrong or incomplete, I’m not going to check), by my calculations we are at 11200CHF after 15 stages, 8 of them had zero, there is only doubt about stages 8 and 11 but it won’t make much difference.
