With the number of found cases expanding, the second victim of today's stage was Quentin Pacher. The Groupama - FDJ had been in the breakaway yesterday where he finished in sixth place, however he has not taken to the start today.
This signals the first abandon of the French team. Pacher hadn't been on his best form in the race, however sat in 21st place in the GC after yesterday's escapee attempt, which saw him finish ahead of the peloton.
The team will be seeking a stage win today with Thibaut Pinot, however Stefan Küng and Sebastien Reichenbach remain in the fight for the overall classification and the team will be looking to benefit from the last stage before the time-trial.
