Primoz Roglic will remain in the 2025 Giro d'Italia as long as his health allows

The Giro d'Italia 2025 has been very complicated for Primoz Roglic in the second week. So much so that, on Sunday's stage 15, he ended up losing a minute and a half with the rest of the favorites, and with the threat of a possible abandonment in the air. However, that shouldn't be the case.

The Slovenian media SIOL advanced that the Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe star is going to make a decision this Monday on whether to withdraw from the race. Roglic's crash on the sterrato stage was heavier than expected, and he would not have fully recovered from it.

However, Primoz will not abandon ship at its most delicate moment. As advanced by Ciro Scognamiglio of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 5-time grand tour winner will take the start of stage 16 this Tuesday:

"Sources confirm to us that Primoz Roglic will be at the start of stage 16 of the Giro d'Italia 2025, at the start of the third week," Scognamiglio advances.

Thus, Roglic has ahead of him an attempt to make up the 3:53 gap he has over the maglia rosa, in addition to overtaking 8 other riders ahead of him as he is 10th in the general classification.
