On the 26th January we've got the Clàssica Comunitat Valenciana on the road, a race that will suit the climbers and classics specialist, and goes through some of the most iconic climbs of the 'Costa Blanca' where most teams train every winter. We preview the race ahead.
The 185.5-kilometer long route starts off in Valencia and is completely flat at first. However, it gradually gets harder throughout the day, until it enters a sequence of key moments. The first will be the ascent of the very famous Coll de Rates, 6.7 kilometers at 5.2%, where every winter some of the world's best test their form.
But the race should be decided afterwards on the much more difficult Alto de Turron Duro, 3.5 kilometers long at 9% with it's summit only 9.5 kilometers away from the finish - half of them downhill. The riders finish off in La Nucia.
