Remco Evenepoel's 2025 debut may have been delayed by his training accident, but that only makes his immediate good level all the more impressive. Can the Belgian continue his podium streak?
Contrary to the world champion, Evenepoel has only limited racing experience on Mur de Huy as he had only ridden La Fleche Wallonne once. In 2022, Evenpoel arrived on top as 44th, having ridden in support of, at the time defending champion, Julian Alaphilippe.
"We have a strong and experienced squad, led by Remco, who has shown again last Sunday that he is in good shape. The local circuit and the presence of Cherave will make the race a bit harder and could see some teams push a big tempo there in order to make things difficult for others. After our most recent results, we have a lot of motivation and we hope to get a good result again," says sports director Klaas Lodewyck in a press release.
The Olympic champion can rely on a fairly strong team with in-shape Max Schachmann and Ilan Van Wilder as luxury support. Mauri Vansevenant and William Junior Lecerf will try to control all the moves while Pascal Eenkhoorn and Pieter Serry will serve as Evenpoel's loyal bodyguards.

Soudal - Quick-Step for 2025 La Fleche Wallonne:

  • Remco Evenepoel
  • Pascal Eenkhoorn
  • William Junior Lecerf
  • Max Schachmann
  • Pieter Serry
  • Mauri Vansevenant
  • Ilan Van Wilder
