Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe have confirmed their lineup for the
Volta a Catalunya and it includes
Primoz Roglic who will take on the single most important test ahead of his return to the Giro d'Italia. The Slovenian will be one of the favourites to win the overall classification, even if the lineup is not the strongest.
The German team is missing many names like Jai Hindley, Aleksandr Vlasov, Florian Lipowitz or Daniel Martínez, but is instead focusing on it's Giro block. Primoz Roglic is the uncontested leader for this week with his three summit finishes to tackle in the Catalunyan region, and he will be supported in the mountains mostly by
Giulio Pellizzari whom the team is hoping to see show his best level and become a key domestique for the mountainous terrain.
The rest of the team, besides the rouleur
Nico Denz, is made of puncheurs, riders who will fare better in the hilly terrain but can handle themselves in the mountains. Without a doubt,
Jan Tratnik will be a key maan and likely Roglic's most valuable domestique, but the team also has
Giovanni Aleotti,
Frederik Wandahl and
Alexander Hajek.
