The 2026 season is extremely important for Team
Cofidis. The French formation dropped out of the cycling's prime division at the end of the 2023-2025 UCI ranking cycle. And so, for the first time since their promotion to WorldTour in 2020, Cofidis has to put up a fight to ensure the team will be able to participate in every major race on their wish list. And it's not going to be a walk in the park with Tudor Pro Cycling, Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling, TotalEnergies and Unibet ROSE Rockets all putting up a great fight for ProTeam ranking top-3 which guarantees wildcard to any race for year to come.
Therefore, making sure its riders score extensively at the .Pro and .1 circuit will be crucial to Cofidis successfully defending
its position in the ProTeam hierarchy. However, a good impression at the
Tour de France is just as (if not more) important to team's season evaluation. For that reason, the French formation already announced half of its nominees for both Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.
The men's team will be centered around
Milan Fretin as a sprint leader with
Alex Aranburu for versatile stages. They will be accompanied by two rouleurs
Alex Kirsch and
Hugo Page, both with tasks of leading out Fretin on bunch finish days, but with opportunities to steal the spotlight in a breakaway.
