On the 3rd and 4th of March, inbetween massive World Tour weekend, we've got two smaller classics that nonetheless pack luxurious startlists. Le Samyn in Belgium and the Trofeo Laigueglia in Italy qill provide top-notch racing. Here is where and when to watch the race live, including in the United States and the United Kingdom.

The event was first held in 1968 and has been a benchmark for classics specialists for decades, serving the Belgian crowd favourites many times. Since the start of the 21st century a lot of meaningful names have won here such as Magnus Bäckstedt, Robbie McEwen, Philippe Gilbert, Arnaud Démare, Niki Terpstra... It is a race that both suits the sprinters and classics specialists, an interesting dynamic, and so we have both types of riders in the palmarès.
This decade, every single edition has been won in a sprint - two of them from small groups however. Hugo Hofstetter, Tim Merlier, Matteo Trentin, Milan Menten and Laurenz Rex were all winners; whilst last year it was last-minute addition Mathieu van der Poel who opened his season here and took a victory over Paul Magnier.

The Italian one-day race was first held in 1964 with Guido Neri taking the win. Eddy Merckx has cemented his name twice in this race back in the 1970's, making it a 'must' even for the international riders who made their way to Italy in the early spring for this race. Other Belgian legends such as Freddy Maertens and Roger de Vlaeminck followed with wins in the following years; whilst the likes of Johan Museeuw and Frank Vandenbroeck have also won it in the 90's.
The likes of Lance Armstrong and Rolf Sorensen have also won here; whilst on the Italian side major names such as Giuseppe Saronni, Michele Bartoli and Paolo Salvodelli won it in the previous century. Danilo di Luca and Filippo Pozzato were amongst the last winners of the Italian race during its golden era, before a slow down simultaneous to the formation of the World Tour and the creation of many new early-season races.
However in recent years the race has had a resurgence with the likes of Giulio Ciccone, Bauke Mollema, Lenny Martínez; and most recently Juan Ayuso taking wins, with the Spaniard outsprinting Christian Scaroni 12 months ago to take the win.

How to watch the 2026 Trofeo Laigueglia on TV

Unlike most top races, the Trofeo Laigueglia is not broadcast live on Eurosport or Discovery/Max. This means there is also no live broadcast in the United States or United Kingdom. However, in Italy the race will be broadcast live on RAI.
