At Paris-Roubaix last Sunday, Mathieu van der Poel and Tim van Dijke both put in impressive performances. Now, just a few days later, the duo have been spotted training side-by-side with Lotto Dstny's Pascal Eenkhoorn.
Van der Poel was of course, a clear winner on the historic French cobbles, taking a record-breaking win in the fastest-ever edition of Paris-Roubaix with the longest solo in 30 years. In the process, the Alpecin-Deceuninck leader also bagged his second monument of the season after the Tour of Flanders earlier in the campaign. With Amstel Gold Race and Liege-Bastogne-Liege upcoming, keeping in top-shape is key for the world champion.
Van Dijke meanwhile, was carrying the flag alongside his brother, Mick van Dijke for a depleted Team Visma | Lease a Bike with both brothers securing a top-20 finish. For Tim, things initially looked even better as he crossed the line in 8th before the race jury relegated him to 16th, for leaving the boundaries of the velodrome track in his sprint.
Spotted on the official Instagram account of Pascal Eenkoorn, both van der Poel and van Dijke can be seen riding alongside each other. "Recon day as far as necessary," the Lotto Dstny rider captions the post.
