The
BEMER Cyclassics are frequently a race for the sprinters, however heads were turned this year as a late group succeeded on the attack, and
BORA - hansgrohe's
Marco Haller surprised to take the win against
Wout van Aert in a direct sprint.
On the final ascents of the Waseberg broke, and a group of five riders went clear in the final passage with Marco Haller and Patrick Konrad of BORA, Wout van Aert,
Quinten Hermans and Jhonatan Narváez. The group collaborated well towards the end, holding off the chasing peloton which finished very close to the quintet.
