It’s like proving a stock will reach a value because Fibonacci says so, it’s the market that decides not Fibonacci. Fibonacci is just one of a huge range of data available to analysts for prediction purposes, ask your Mou to start printing disclaimers with his opinions. - You obviously don’t live in areas where road racing in winter isn’t often possible. And considering cycling started long before tarmac was being laid, you may as well be telling people cricket rugby and soccer are lesser sports because someone started baseball and American or Australian football. Or rallye driving because the masses prefer F1 and so that’s where the money is.Mistermaumau15-03-2026
- its a fantastic sport that takes an entirely different kind of strength and athleticism than road cycling. It's nature and history are directly connected to soldiery. It was invented 125 years ago by a French solider as a form of training, and there have been championship races since long before the "fat tire fantasies" you dismiss even existed. And the skills of cyclocross were used during WWII, when soldiers and resistance fighters rode bikes overland, often at night, to avoid German forces and carry important messages. Plus, its great viewing, much better than road racing because it is on a circuit. Much easier to see the riders, very exciting to see them tackle the wild terrain and obstacles. Doesn't mean you have to like it, but your characterization of it is just silly.MidnightRider15-03-2026
- It's a big gamble the MSR, from the Poggio it's either 1 can stay away, or a few or a sprint, recent yrs have featured a sprint as more are getting over the Poggio.. 🤷
leedorney15-03-2026 - I don't know.. Frankly, cyclocross to me is kidstuff, a BMX race for the big boys who never outgrew their fat tire fantasies. A bicycle is meant to be ridden on long gravel and road courses, not carried on your shoulders on a muddy terrain while navigating a makeshift 5 km track. of rocks, cobbles and mud pools. I might just as well use a pogo stick for such endeavors.FredMan15-03-2026
- no surprise on the comments regarding his graciousness. from his first worlds in which he rode in support of Gilbert, to his popularity with other riders, I don’t think Remco is the jerk he is made out to be. his petulance in some race scenarios is extreme competitiveness, not a character flaw or a sign of a bad person. many great athletes, but otherwise great humans, blow up in the heat of the moment. it is called a winning attitude.mij15-03-2026
