Throughout the 2025 Paris-Nice, the race jury attributes fines to some of the riders and sporting directors. Ultimately the fines can come in the form of money, time penalties or even UCI points, depending on the rule breaking. Here we present what has happened during the race.
Stage 1
Race Moto 56 Guido Bontepi. Breach of regulations concerning vehicle movement during the race, Yellow card.
Vincenzo Albanese (EF Education-EasyPost): Disposing waste outside litter zone. 500CHF fine and 25 UCI points penalization.
Ryan Mullen (Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe): Disposing waste outside litter zone. 500CHF fine and 25 UCI points penalization.
INEOS Grenadiers DS Leonardo Basso: Failing to respect instructions of the commissaires. 500CHF fine, Yellow card.
Movistar Team mechanic Tomas Amezaga Orrantia: Dangerous behaviour (Opening car door before stopping). 500CHF fine, Yellow Card.
Movistar Team DS Pablo Lastras: Dangerous behaviour (Dangerous maneuvre in the middle of the road). 500CHF fine, Yellow Card.
Stage 2
Kasper Asgreen (EF Education-EasyPost): Absence of a rider at the start after rider's confirmation without valid justification. 500CHF fine.
Hugo Page (Intermarché - Wanty): Irregular sprint. Yellow card, 500CHF fine, relegation, 7 points penalization in points classification.
Alpecin-Deceuninck DS Frederik Willems: Dangerous maneuvre after an incident call. Yellow card, 500CHF fine.
Alpecin-Deceuninck DS Frederik Willems: Unidentified rider discarding waste outside waste zone. 500CHF fine.
XDS Astana Team DS Dmitriy Fofonov: Unidentified rider discarding waste outside waste zone. 500CHF fine.
Stage 3
As part of the fight against technological fraud, 5 bikes were checked today. All bikes complied with UCI regulations.
For stage 4, feeding from the car will be open from kilometre 25 and will be closed at 15 kilometres from the finish.

Alpecin-Deceuninck DS Frederik Willems: Unidentified rider throwing waste outside litter zone. 500CHF fine.
Axel Zingle (Team Visma | Lease a Bike): Voluntary use of sidewalks. Yellow Card, 25 UCI points penalization, 20 second time penalty, 12 points classification penalization and 8 points penalization in KOM classification.
Stage 6
Matteo Jorgenson (Team Visma | Lease a Bike): Discarding waste outside litter zone. 500CHF fine; 25 UCI points penalization.
