Jonas Vingegaard wins the 2024 Tour de Pologne! Olav Kooij sprints to victory on the final stage

Jonas Vingegaard has taken overall victory at the 2024 Tour de Pologne after surviving the final stage, won by his teammate Olav Kooij in a bunch sprint finish unscathed.

Four riders got themselves into the breakaway on this final stage including some notable names. Movistar Team's Remi Cavagna, was joined by Polish rider Marcin Budzinski and EF Education-EasyPost duo, Archie Ryan and Jack Rootkin-Gray.

After having been dangling around 10 seconds ahead of the peloton for a number of kilometres, the breakaway's day out ahead was finally brought to a final end with the catch of Ryan and Budzinski with only around 3km to go.

Then, it was all about the sprint for victory and in the fight for the line, Jonas Vingegaard's Team Visma | Lease a Bike teammate Olav Kooij ensured there would be double reason for success as the young sprinter took victory ahead of Tim Merlier and Gerben Thijssen.
