Jonas Vingegaard spotted training in Mallorca with a new tattoo

As usual for the not often eloquent Jonas Vingegaard, we haven't heard much from the Dane since his terrible crash at Itzulia Basque Country. The two-time Tour de France champion was looking to wrap up his, until that moment successful, spring at the Spanish WT stage race by challenging the likes of Remco Evenepoel and Primoz Roglic for a prestigious victory.

His team Visma | Lease a Bike kept feeding us with sporadic updates on Vingegaard's road to recovery towards the French grand tour but it's third parties that often manage to dig out some extra information, just like in this case.

From the looks of it, things seem to be going in the right direction for Jonas Vingegaard. The Dane of Visma | Lease a Bike was recently spotted training in Denmark again, but is currently in Mallorca for a training camp.

While climbing the Coll de Sóller, he stopped for a coffee at the Ca'n Topa Cafe and of course it couldn't go without a picture with the fans he encountered there. "Super fit," he is called by the owners.

However what is more striking is what appears to be a tattoo on the ivory white forearm of the silent Vingegaard. Who would have thought that the timid Dane would sport a butterfly on his forearm? Perhaps he plans to sting like a bee and fly like a butterfly at Tour de France? We'll have to wait and see in July.
