"In one day everything can change" - Tadej Pogacar's Maillot Jaune not won yet insists UAE's Joxean Matxin

Tadej Pogacar has managed to win the day for the second consecutive stage of the 2024 Tour de France on Sunday at the Plateau de Beille. With the UAE Team Emirates leader gaining more than a minute over his main rival for the Maillot Jaune, Jonas Vingegaard, is it race over?
After the stage, UAE Team Emirates manager Joxeán Matxín was delighted with his rider's performance in the stage, but also congratulated Team Visma | Lease a Bike for the work done. "Wonderful, very excited, we want to congratulate Visma for the stage they did, for racing to win, but today Tadej was too strong," he assesses. "We have to congratulate them for their work, for setting the pace, it was good for us and then came the moment of the attack of Tadej, who decided when it was. One minute. Very good."
However, Matxin insists that UAE Team Emirates does not take the overall victory for granted and he makes it clear that there is still a week ahead with very hard days in which anything can happen. He makes it clear that for him however, Tadej Pogacar is currently the best rider in the world.

Three minutes before the last week is the perfect situation, the perfect gap, but in one day everything can change," Matxin concludes. "We have to be cautious, respect our rivals. Today Tadej was wonderful, the team, Joao Almeida reminded the best Almeida with his style. Pogacar is perfection made cyclist".

Years ago LeMond had real personal problems I imagine in no small part because of Armstrong. then Armstrong goes round "full blast" re: LeMond having drinking and drug problems. The same way Andreu was expelled from mainstream cycling so was LeMond. On the positive side the clips of the ride and chatting with old teammates and was good.
