"I will be working for them in the coming year" - Attila Valter looking forward to helping Roglic and Vingegaard in their quest for Grand Tour success

With 2023 marking the beginning of a new era in the career of Attila Valter as the Hungarian leaves Groupama-FDJ for Jumbo-Visma, the 24-year-old is keen to prove he is able to have an important influence by helping his new team win a Grand Tour.

Predicting how his debut season at Jumbo-Visma will go, Valter was full of praise for his new employers whilst expressing how he sees himself riding in the service of the team's general classification leaders such as Primoz Roglic, Jonas Vingegaard or Wilco Kelderman. "The Jumbo-Visma team is really one of the best formations in the peloton," Valter says in a press conference.

With Primoz Roglic set to target the Giro d'Italia and Jonas Vingegaard to ride the Tour de France in defence of his yellow jersey, it's not yet clear which race Valter will ride or how the former Groupama-FDJ rider will fit into the Jumbo Visma train.

Despite this the Hungarian is confident he can be a difference maker. "I will do everything I can to improve, but of course we will form a team here with leaders who will need me in certain races. I will be working for them in the coming year."
