Pauline Ferrand-Prévot has had a stellar season upon her return to road racing and the climax of this was at the Tour de France Femmes. The Team Visma | Lease a Bike rider has been able to show her best form and apply her abilities to their very best, and next year she will try to replicate this for the spring classics.
"I just want to see how far I can go. I was good in the Classics, but I think I can be better there, and then be good in the Tour," Ferrand-Prévot said in an interview with Ouest-France. It would be unfair to say the 33-year old didn't have a successful spring as she rode to a third place at Strade Bianche Donne, second at the Tour of Flanders and then won the Paris-Roubaix Femmes. This was before she put her focus on the stage-races, where she ultimately took the grand prize in France. At the World Championships the Frenchwoman had good legs but couldn't translate that into a result, crossing the finish line in 16th place in Kigali.

Less goals, more success

However next year the veteran is going to try and plan for less goals and instead focus on specific goals more strongly. She has won Roubaix so Flanders could become her grand priority, specially with her climbing ability taken into consideration. Ultimately, the World Championships could also be a big goal, as the course in Canada will be well suited to the climbers and she will want to regain the rainbow jersey that she won 11 years ago back in Ponferrada.
"I can work really well this winter to try and be at a level not necessarily similar to the Tour, but not that far off, for the Classics. And then, be in form for the Tour. That'll be the real objective for 2026."
