Human Powered Health rider Embret Svestad-Bårdseng joins Arkéa-Samsic development team

Embret Svestad-Bårdseng (21) has signed for the development team of Arkéa-Samsic, which will change its name to Arkea B&B Hotels next year. Svestad-Bårdseng thus becomes a teammate of another Norwegain - Martin Tjøtta.

"I think it will be very good, I'm looking forward to riding many U23 races and hopefully getting some good results," says Svestad-Bårdseng to Discovery.

The climber, who represented Norway in Glasgow, signed a contract until the 2024 season, but in August came the shock announcement that the American team has not reached an agreement with a main sponsor for the 2024 season and this year's season was the team's last.

"It was actually quite quick to find a new team after the Tour de l'Avenir this year, but it was a very stressful situation and a period before that where it was difficult to keep my spirits up, but I managed to stand in it and perform at the end of the season, Svestad-Bårdseng says.
