Cycling Market - INEOS refuse interest in rival leader; Visma talent leaves World Tour; Where does Roglic's future lay?
Cycling
The transfer season is entering a more quiet and less active phase at the time being, as most riders head deep into the off-season. Team managements continue working to fit all the pieces into the 2027 season. Primoz Roglic's future remains very uncertain at the time being; whilst on the opposite side of the spectrum, Domenico Pozzovivo has signed a deal before Christmas for the first time in six years.
Since the previous instance of the Cycling Market, there has been less activity in the market, with teams mostly assured of who they will have in their roster all the way to 2027. A few teams have still been conducting renewals, perhaps more notably Team Jayco AlUla who has extended with Felix Engelhardt, Patrick Gamper and Alan Hatherly.
XDS Astana Team have extended the contract of its Chinese spearhead Haoyu Su as well as Anton Kuzmin - one of the team's few Kazakh riders; Burgos Burpellet BH has renewed with Lorenzo Quartucci. Alpecin-Premier Tech has extended its contract with classics specialist Michael Gogl.
Italy's Team Polti VisitMalta conducted a wide array of renewals that secures their squad into the upcoming season: Mattia Bais, Thomas Pesenti, Gabriele Raccagni, Manuel Peñalver, Fernando Tercero, Germãn Dário Gómez and Francisco Muñoz.
Solution Tech NIPPO Rali has extended with its two leaders in the meantime, Dusan Rajovic and Domenico Pozzovivo. The 43-year old has not only confirmed that he will continue his career, but for the first time since 2020-2021 winter, he goes into the off-season with a contract signed for the upcoming year.

Domenico Pozzovivo will race on throughout the 2027 season
Transfers
There haven't been major moves over the past week, but instead some smaller market rumble across a few World Tour teams. Perhaps in the women's field the big transfer was more notable, as cyclocross World Champion Lucinda Brand has moved from Lidl-Trek to Canyon//SRAM.
Team Visma | Lease a Bike has officially lost Loe van Belle who has signed with BEAT Cycling; whilst Red Bull - BORA - hansgrohe has also lost Alexander Hajek who will instead become a likely leader at Bardiani CSF 7 Saber.
Alpecin has signed Morten Aaling Nortoft from Coloquick; Groupama - FDJ signed Sandy Dujardin from TotalEnergies; whilst XDS Astana Team have signed Greek national champion Nikiforos Avanitou.
Rumours
Primoz Roglic's previously rumoured contacts with Team Visma | Lease a Bike have yielded no results, and the Slovenian's future remains uncertain to this point. The likelihood of a move to Tudor Pro Cycling Team has also been put to question.
TotalEnergies have also taken up the spotlight this week. The French team looked to be near extinction, and has lost all of its current leaders. The French team will without a doubt be rebirthed, and with its future now seemingly secure, it is on the hunt for a new set of leaders.

Dylan Teuns' retirement means the Belgian is no longer an option, but the French team has been reported by Het Laatste Nieuws to be in contacts with Tom van Asbroeck (NSN), Arjen Livyns (Astana), Simon Dehairs (Alpecin) and Dylan Vandenstorme (Flanders).
The Belgian quartet would provide the team with chances in the classics and sprints, maintaining its current priorities - only with a different set of riders.
Netcompany INEOS has also been reported by Daniel Benson to not have interest in signing Mattias Skjelmose, one of the rumours that had developed months prior - but is now out of the table.

- bravo! a rider likes jonas needs motivation and he needs to believe in being able to reach goals. he - like anybody else in the world - doesn't believe that he can win the tdf with pogi present. and what's it worth for when pogi is not there? second class victory only. he has checked all three grand tours, so what is left if not retire? the classics! go for it, jonas!Ketterechts02-11-2026

- dude, Lemond never even was in the same race as Armstrong. He throws all these aspersions on other American riders who might usurp his throne as the greatest ever American racer. He doesn't say a single thing about (foreign) dopers who he actually raced against. Biggest douchebag move ever. I used to revere that guy, now I despise him. His actions are so weird.fatsupermodel02-11-2026
- This is just stupid, You do what you are good at not what you are weak at. He has no results to speak of when he participated. Even Froome, Conatdor had very little. With Pogi there he wont win none of the classics. he is already 30+ with a few years left at the top. It takes years to get good at classics. Is that really worth the effort???abstractengineer02-11-2026
