The Criterium du Dauphiné is without surprise the most important run-up race for the Tour de France in the peloton,
Jumbo-Visma and
Jonas Vingegaard are to test their form and block ahead of the biggest goal of the season.
In fact 6 of the 7 riders present are expected to be at the race. Sepp Kuss is not present as he is recovering from a hard Giro d'Italia, but he is replaced by
Attila Valter who has been on Vingegaard support for several stage-races already this year. The other man from the '8' missing is Wout van Aert, who will head to the Tour de Suisse in search of stage wins.
