Local cyclist
Jonathan Paredes has been run over in Colombia, in another tragic reminder of the dangers that come with cycling. The accident took place on a road between Paipa and Duitama, in the area of Boyacá, where Paredes was a native of.
A pickup truck with 3 people on board (who were injured) was the one that ended the life of a 35-year-old cyclist from Duitama who began his cycling career in the Supergiros-Aguardiente Blanco del Valle team and went on to race the Vuelta a Colombia.
The team at CyclingUpToDate send our condolences to Paredes and his loved ones.
