Benoit Cosnefroy has taken victory at Paris-Camembert 2024, winning himself the iconic prize of his bodyweight in cheese!
After attacking relatively early on, Arkea - B&B Hotels' Ewen Costiou was still in a strong position up ahead as the race entered the final 30km. Starting the penultimate climb, 15km to go, the Frenchman was still 30 seconds clear, actually extending that to 40 seconds by the time the climb had finished.
Finally though, with 8.8km to go, Costiou was finally brought back. With a counter-attack of three then going clear but it was eventually Benoit Cosnefroy who powered to the win ahead of Clement Venturini and Alexandre Delettre.
