The
Baloise Belgium Tour has one of the most prestigious sprinter fields all-season long, and it has today seen a big battle which was won by
Jasper Philipsen who has taken the win after finishing third on the opening stage.
The 178-kilometer long stage into Knokke-Heist was by no means complicated, a flat day with a slight uphill finish. The leadout to the finish was furious and saw some riders blocked, Jasper Philipsen thrived once again in this sort of finale and took a strong win, beating
Danny van Poppel and
Mads Pedersen to the line.
