The 2026
Giro d'Italia Donne route has been announced. The best climbers in the world will be assembling in Italy for the 9-day stage-race that grows more prestigious by the year, and in 2026 will be featuring iconic climbs such as the Colle delle Finestre and a mountain time trial to Nevegal. All starts and finished of the race are now public, more than half a year before the start and with
defending champion Elisa Longo Borghini in Rome for the presentation.
The race starts off with a stage from Cesenatico to Ravenna, which will provide the fast women with the chance to fight for the first pink jersey. Stage 2 starts in Roncade and goes through the Muro di ca'di Poggio before what should be a sprint finish in Caorle.
The route will slowly gain difficulty, and the third day of competition is set to finish in Buja. Stage 4 will be an individual time trial, featuring 12.7 kilometers from Belluno to Nevegal, a mountain time trial. Stage 5 takes place from Longarone to Santo Stefano di Cadore with several climbs along the way in the Dolomites. Stage 6 is another day for the sprinters with a finale in Brescello whilst stage 7 will finish in Salice Terme.
The queen stage of the race will be the eighth day of racing, finishing in Sestriere after climbing the Colle delle Finestre, mimicking the finale of the men's 2025 edition. The final stage of the race will finish in Saluzzo, another difficult stage with a flat start but several climbs where the overall classification can be turned on its head. The race will take place from the 30th of May to the 7th of June in 2026, right after the men's route, which will be announced this afternoon in Rome too.
