I don't understand how they come up with the order and why it isn't GC based?

I don’t think anybody normal has expectations for him or is asking him to achieve something, we’re all just curious and excited to see what he will do and manage. Only some traumatised sad cases are hoping he will or won’t beat whoever their punching bag or hero is so they have more artillery with which to inundate us, as if they’re contributing to the achievement.

Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe don't have a GC favourite, other than Luke Tuckwell. But Maxim van Gils and Finn Fisher-Black had a decent chance of winning - why didn't they try?

If EF mess it up and give Braz Alfonso the jersey, then they are idiots. And why don't Visma work for Wally or Lotto work for Zimmermann?

My heart is with Del Toro... but my brain is saying Seixas will win the overall.

Classiest rider ever. So many others including her biggest competitor would have had excuses. They were already being baked into the discussion in case today didn’t happen. AVDB forever

I really hope the funding and support for the Women's tour remains stable so achievements like this can gain the same gravity within the women's pro peloton as they have in the men's. Instead of the sort of patchwork quilt effect of events stopping and starting and making it hard to say "x number of riders have done this". Epic win anyway, I really didn't see this overhaul happening after the truncated end of the prior stage.

I have no expectations for Seixas in this years Tour. I hope he takes his time and learns for future Tours, maybe he can light up some climbs.
