  How many more subscriptions needed before sport bankrupts its base. Soon the desperate will be spending more on sport than on food. This obsessive monetisation is a sure sign people with no passion for cycling are in charge and money is landing in the wrong places. Take cycling mates, get in a car, hop over to France to watch a stage or sit and enjoy them in a café, load up for the way back. Ask a local fan to film his TV over his phone app for when you’re back. Alternatively, found a local fan base, get together and go convince your local pub to subscribe if none of you does but for the sake of stopping this rampant capitalistic enslavement of individuals, PLEASE don’t pay to watch this alone.

  I hope he turns to mountain biking in a big way. There isn't much left to win on the road that suits him. Some races like Omloop. but he was amazing competing against Nino and winning World Cups. I'd love to see him back.

Listen, it’s very simple, there is only one potential Pog-beater at the TdF and it’s been like that for 5-6 years so all the other teams have to make do with what they have. Lipo has potential but no past record, like many others he may also just be a “one-hit” wonder, so until anyone shows as much consistency and results as Remco, he’s definitely the more likely to make the podium. Lipo, like Onley has never been stress-tested and they may react to that just as badly as Kuss.
