Harrie Lavreysen has succesfully defended his Keirin World Championship with Jeffrey Hoogland making it a Dutch one-two in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.
With the home crowd hoping one of the French hopes could pose a challenge, Sebastian Vigier and Melvin Landerneau ultimately left them disappointed. Lavreysen and Hoogland took to the front and the rest of the field simply found it impossible to go around the Dutch train. Colombia's Kevin Santiago Quintero Chavarro came closest, finishing best of the rest and claiming a well deserve bronze medal.
This victory marks an incredible third successive Keirin world title for the all conquering Lavreysen after victories in Berlin 2020 and Roubaix 2021.
