Great Britain claim incredible Men's Team Pursuit gold

Great Britain have been crowned Men's Team Pursuit world champions after emerging victorious against Italy at the UCI World Track Championships in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines.

After Denmark had defeated Australia in the bronze medal matchup by a relatively comfortable 1.4 seconds, it was between the reigning Olympic and World champions Italy, boasting new hour record holder Filippo Ganna in their ranks and Great Britain for gold. With the Brits getting out the gate quicker, gaining an early lead of over 4 tenths at the 2km mark. Italy and Ganna came powering back however and looked certain at one point to overturn the deficit but Britain held on to claim an incredible victory and the rainbow jersey to boot.
