- Coulda woulda shoulda!! It’s done and already in the record books. Time to move onto the next one.
- Agree. If he stays healthy and upright through the Giro he should win comfortably.
- his from is above WVAs. it is above everybody but Tadej.
- Wout raced a great race, but MVDP gapped him the second ascent of the Kemmelberg and was never truly committed. He was riding for Jasper.
- Jonas was crazy impressive this week. can’t wait to watch him through the year. he will cruise to victory in the Giro.
- Almeida should take time off and be Tadej’s domestique for the TDF.
They could send Isaac to the Giro. He seems more ready for it.
- Mathieu was not tired. He said he was not 100% committed as he was a set up for Philipsen.
Wout was not as strong as Mathieu, so maybe his from is coming in, but he was gapped by Mathieu on the Kemmelberg climb.
- yeah, why is he worried about how Jonas is riding? first of all Jonas won, which means he rode a perfect race.
furthermore, Jonas sets his tactics. Remco sets his. it always makes me laugh when a losing rider laments that the winning rider’s tactics helped him win, and helped the loser lose.
does he expect Jonas to meet with prior and come up with mutually agreeable tactics?
he needs to just ride his bike, stop the dumb crashes, and shut up.
- If she'd been beaten, then, combined with the result in Brugge, there'd have been questions. Moors has got a pretty good sprint on her (you wouldn't think so) and this, combined with Carys Lloyd's success earlier, gives some hope that there may soon be proper rivals to Wiebes.
It's quite like the case of Annemiek van Vleuten in GC. Because women's cycling is growing exponentially it will be like this for a very long time.
If not, we'll have to wait for Jonathan Milan's future daughter (20 years' time?)
- Lorena Wiebes may be the strongest sprinter in the women's peloton, but certainly not the most clever one. Sometimes it's a very fine line between confidence and arrogance.
