Rafionain-Glas11-02-2026 - Obviously the best thing would be to remove the winners of (most) Grand tours from 1991 to 2005 from the history books to truly clean the records of EPO. Non-EPO doping, the sort Lemond and Merckx used, have to be included as clean. The thing is that it's not possible to go by the obvious, only what was proven right after the EPO era ended. Armstrong confessed early enough after retirement, while Riis and Ullrich confessed later, relatively, and Pantani died. It's obvious that Induráin was, like them, doping, but unfortunately it doesn't work like that (as much as I would like it to). - Armstrong should still be listed as winning 7 Tours. All of his competitors were doping also. For example the 3 still-listed Tour winners prior to him were all obviously doping. Bjarne Riis (1996) admitted using EPO while winning but is still listed as the winner. Jan Ulrich (1997) later admitted to doping. Marco Pantani (1998) was later caught using EPO.
