Results Urban Cross Kortrijk: Inge van der Heijden takes first win in European Champion's jersey

Inge van der Heijden secured an undeniable victory at the Urban Cross Kortrijk. Marion Norbert Riberolle and Julie Brouwers followed, and by the fifth lap the race was completely decided, with the Dutch rider leading the first Belgian by 19 seconds and the second by more than 50. Absolute dominance with flawless riding at the Exact Cross Kortrijk.

The European champion attacked on the first lap with great ferocity and left all her rivals with no chance. She is in exceptional form and showed it from the very first meter of the race. Currently third in the Cyclocross World Cup, only behind Aniek Van Alphen and Amandine Fouquenet, she continues to demonstrate an outstanding level of form.

It is Van der Heijden’s third win of the season. Norbert Riberolle finished second, 18 seconds back, and Brouwers completed the podium at over a minute.

Rounding out the top five were the Frenchwoman Clauzel and the Belgian Peeters. The Spaniard Cueto Vega closed out the top 10 in a historic performance for her.
