Closing her season in the ultimate style, Brand completed her World Cup overall triumph with a dominant performance in Hoogerheide on Sunday afternoon, in the process securing the 20th World Cup win of her career. In the overall standings, the Dutch star finishes 84 points clear of world champion
Fem van Empel, with

As mentioned, in the men's elite, Michael Vanthourenhout secured himself overall victory for the first time in his career. The Belgian couldn't cap his campaign off in winning style, finishing a distant 2nd to
