Wout Van Aert rode a solid Tour de Suisse. With four top 5 finishes, he takes home the points jersey. Regardless, for the Belgian, just like for anyone else, it'll be a race to forget.
"I tried to save something for the last climb," he reflects afterwards. "But that was apparently not enough because on top I really got into trouble and I had to endure the pain. I struggled to keep my rhythm. The climb didn't go the way I wanted."
"I felt okay today and tried not to go over my limit. Still, I had hoped for better. I rode a great time trial, but without knowing my time I already knew I wasn't going to win," he concludes.
