Round 11 of the cyclocross World Cup will take place this Sunday, January 25th, in Hoogerheide. This is the final World Cup round in which Mathieu van der Poel and Lucinda Brand will be crowned winners. We take a look at the startlist of the race; favourites; and where to watch it online, on TV, in the USA and UK.
It is a very fast and explosive track, one where Mathieu van der Poel has won several times in the past - it is also organized by Adrie van der Poel. It is a circuit in which racing can become quite tactical, as it does not feature much climbing and is all-in-all not easy to create large gaps in.

Men's race

This is Mathieu van der Poel's playground and there's little reason to expect anyone else to take the win. I do believe it's a track that suits Thibau Nys well, but as we have seen today, the Alpecin rider may well just do what they please with the race, with Tibor del Grosso and Niels Vandeputte both racing at their top level.
Joris Nieuwenhuis, Lars van der Haar, Mees Hendrikx, Ryan Kamp, Pim Ronhaar, Toon Aerts, Jente Michels, Toon Vandebosch, Gerben Kuypers, Martin Groslambert, Felipe Orts, Kevin Kuhn, Andrew Strohmeyer and Cameron Mason will also be present.

Women's race

Ultimately there is going to be an open race in Hoogerheide, without the climbs where Lucinda Brand would usually make the difference. However, the veteran's decision to race a full schedule may be starting to be felt as she was nowhere near the front in Maasmechelen. Hence, we can expect there to be a battle for the win again, and not a dominating race.
Puck Pieterse and Amandine Fouquenet were the strongest today and we can expect these two to be up there once again, taking into consideration the circuit isn't overly different. Inge van der Heijden, Aniek van Alphen, Manon Bakker, Leonie Bentveld, Shirin van Anrooij, Célia Gery, Marion Norbert Riberolle, Sara Casasola, Blanka Kata Vas, Zoe Bäckstedt and Marie Schreiber will also be present.
