Tadej Pogacar has won the 2024 Volta a Catalunya in a manner that will surely have sent warning signs throughout the peloton to anyone with hopes of competing against the Slovenian in the coming months.
In the end, after making it a fourth stage win with a powerful sprint from a reduced bunch on the final day of racing, Pogacar actually increased his lead in the overall classification to 3:41 from his nearest rival, Mikel Landa. Egan Bernal completed the podium in an equally impressive display - for different reasons - 5:03 down on the UAE Team Emirates leader.
With just 37 seconds separating the next six riders, things were incredibly close behind the podium as Lorenzo Fortunato completed the top-10.
