Wout van Aert's season ended during the Vuelta a España, where he had won three stages and was carrying both points and KOM jerseys. The Team Visma | Lease a Bike rider had his second difficult crash of the year which proved to be very hard to mentally overcome... But his return to the TV screens came in the most unlikely of forms as he dressed up to take part in a Belgian music TV show.

'The Masked Singer' is a popular show format adopted by many countries and in the past we've had the pleasure of seeing Nairo Quintana dressed up as a lizard on Colombian TV. It had already been rumoured recently but this Friday night we've got the confirmation and reveal of the Belgian sports icon in no less than a squirrel suit singing in front of a crowd. An off-season that is definitely taking shape, no doubt!
