Valentin Madouas and Romain Grégoire set to lead Groupama-FDJ at Strade Bianche along with in-form Lenny Martinez

With several strong results at the start of the year, Groupama-FDJ are looking good going into Strade Bianche this weekend, as they look to take their first Spring Classics victory of the season.

Valentin Madouas and Romain Grégoire are set to lead the French team in Tuscany after they finished second and eighth respectively at last year’s race, behind the solo winner Tom Pidcock. They will be supported by a solid lineup of Lewis Askey, Fabian Lienhard, Olivier Le Gac and Lorenzo Germani.

Grégoire has already shown his form this season, with a second place finish at the recent Faun-Ardèche Classic. Madouas on the other hand is yet to really get his season underway, with his best result so far being fifth place in his first race of the season at the Vuelta a Murcia.

The final rider on the Groupama-FDJ lineup is Lenny Martinez, who got off to a flying start in his second year as a WorldTour rider with a victory at the Classic Var. He then followed that up with a strong performance and second overall at O Gran Camiño, before taking a solo victory at Trofeo Laigueglia in the middle of the week.
