Update: Egan Bernal confirmed to start Tour of Denmark after miraculous recovery

Egan Bernal's comeback has been transformed from an if to a when, and the when may be as soon as 24 hours as internal reports suggest Bernal could start the Tour of Denmark tomorrow for INEOS Grenadiers.

INEOS have already announced their lineup for the Danish race, however both VeloNews and Gazetta dello Sport have that the Colombian will be at the start. More details are for now unknown, however this may be an evolving situation. The Colombian had a life-threatening accident in his home country back in January which has seen him with an extensive list of serious injuries, however after an incredible recovery, he has been for months in Europe training and anticipating a comeback. The Deutschland Tour has been recently hinted as his comeback race, however it may be sooner than that...

Update: INEOS Grenadiers have in the meantime revealed on social media that Bernal will be at the start of the race, giving a conclusion to what was one of the most dramatic stories of the year, and confirming the Colombian's continuation as a professional bike racer.
