Uno-X's Torstein Traeen on his way to World Tour, three teams in contact with Norwegian climber

Torstein Tareen is one of the riders who has had the quickest uprising in cycling over the past year, as he has recovered from testicular cancer and has since returned to racing, and the top level. Uno-X Pro Cycling Team are likely to have great difficulties keeping the 27-year old on board.

Bahrain Victorious, BORA-hansgrohe and AG2R Citroën Team are said to be in contacts with the Norwegian climber, as is reported by Landevei. All teams with broad presence in the mountainous races, they look to bolster their squads with a rider who has been showing quite a lot of quality. A talented climber since his early career years, he has now been competing alongside the best World Tour riders.

Traeen rode to a tenth spot in the Tour of the Alps, where he finished second in one of the stages. As Uno-X was confirmed to be in the Tour de France there was a clear goal, and at the Criterium du Dauphiné he proved to be more than worthy of his position, as he finished eighth in the overall classification of the mountainous race.
