UCI Rankings Teams Update | UAE Team Emirates leave competition behind but Astana and Movistar continue to impress

XDS Astana Team continue to push towards their World Tour maintenance, but find a Cofidis which is defending itself well. The World Tour license battle continues heated; whilst at the top UAE Team Emirates - XRG begin to already carve a gap when it comes to UCI points scored in the 2025 season.
You can check the previous update. Over the weekend there have been a few one-day races where teams were able to snatch up another batch of points. This next weekend will truly make an impact, but nevertheless UAE Team Emirates - XRG was able to extend it's lead mainly after António Morgado's win at the Figueira Champions Classic. Amongst other results, the Emirati team has scored another 700 points, above all other teams.
All positions near the top remain the same, but towards the bottom the relegation fight continues to be interesting. XDS Astana Team have added over 500 points to their tally in a matter of days, but Cofidis (currently in the red line 18th place) have won the Clasica de Almeria with Milan Fretin and have gained 200 points from that win alone, defending themselves (whilst Arkéa and Uno-X barely added points to their tally). The Kazakh team is already close to overtaking it's two close rivals, a really impressive turn of speed to 2025.

SHOCKING even to see how often they prescribe then without even knowing or testing if your infection is viral or bacterial, even when governments have already launched information campaigns. - Easy to say, but when you know you were not in the best of form and you don’t know how it’ll be on the day, the only way you can find out what’s possible is by testing what you can do what you can. The fact that he was “only” as good as MP and WVA makes the discussion pretty pointless, all unbiased people are interested in is who is the better when both are in top shape. I for one wouldn’t want to go back to the days of unhealthy gang rivalries such as the DV brothers against Merckx which could devolve into dirty tricks, quite happy everyone now tries to win in his own way.Mistermaumau07-04-2025

- I disagree, the only issue yesterday was Tadej was stronger, he softened them on every berg after the first loop then burned them hard up the Oude Kwaremont/Paterberg. As Adam Blyth suggested in commentary there is NOBODY better at these 4 or 5 minute efforts on these hills. Protract that to next weekend those 4 or 5 minute efforts could be the difference. Yesterday however, MVDP, WVA and Mads left everything on those roads, Tadej was stronger that simple.slappers6607-04-2025
